Through the 'Adobe Paint the Future' initiative, Adobe SA was able to raise funds needed to buy paint sets and books during its Creative Suite 6 Evangelists events held in Johannesburg and Cape Town. Prior to and during the events the company called on its customers, partners and wider community to contribute to the initiative in order to help build a culture of creativity amongst South African children and to assist in nurturing a creative future for South Africa.
In the next phase of the project, Adobe is calling on organisations and institutions working with children under the age of 10 from underprivileged communities as well as health facilities to apply for request for an allocation of the paint sets via a website which can be accessed through the following link:

Says Grant O’Connor, Adobe regional manager for Sub Saharan Africa and Israel: “A recent study conducted by Adobe showed that many people do not recognise their own creative potential. Through 'Adobe Paint the Future' we can make a small contribution towards helping children realise from an early age that every single person can be creative in his/her own way.
“At Adobe we challenge the assertion that there’s nothing new under the sun. There’s always something new, every day, every hour and every minute as people want to express themselves, make themselves known, to forge and deliver truly original thoughts. At Adobe, our purpose is to break down the barriers to creation. Wherever you go, wherever you are when inspiration strikes, that’s where we aim to make an impact.”
