On the 15 June, Mamas & Papas magazine visited Diepsloot Combined, a high school in Diepsloot to discuss the importance of education.

Nawaal Motlekar, the managing director of Kwenta Media and founding editor of Mamas & Papas magazine was the guest speaker.

Kwenta Media, in partnership with Kimberly-Clark, announced that it will donate Kotex sanitary towels to the girls at Diepsloot Combined as part of an initiative to educate the young girls about the physiological changes that occur in their bodies.

With young girls bunking school during their periods, the initiative seeks to bring back dignity and pride to the needy and poverty stricken young girls. The invitation is open to all South Africans to purchase a packet of sanitary towels when doing their monthly groceries and donate to any needy school that will change a life of a girl during their monthly menstruation cycle.
