Published: 27 June 2012

The first ever DESTINY Forum will commence with internationally acclaimed speakers who will share their expertise with the Forum’s attendees. Dr Iyanla Vanzant, Thebe Ikalafeng, Phuthi Mahanyele, Kuben Naidoo and Marcus Buckingham will headline the entrepreneurial conference to be held in Johannesburg on 23 July.

They are all-rounders as successful entrepreneurs, best-selling authors, motivational speakers and thought leaders who will be sharing their wealth of knowledge on various topics with thousands of South African professionals, entrepreneurs and business people who are expected at the Forum.

The full-day interactive conference, in partnership with Metro FM, M-Net and City Press will benefit individuals and corporates looking for cutting-edge knowledge and tools from business experts.

Advantageous to ambitious business executives and dynamic entrepreneurs, the prestigious speakers will share their insights and inspire those that attend the DESTINY Forum. It is also a platform for individuals to network with like-minded people.

“Operating within the ‘if you are going to do something, you might as well do it right’ mind-set, we have sourced high-calibre speakers from South Africa and abroad, for the first annual Forum,” says Khanyi Dhlomo, founding editor of DESTINY and managing director of Ndalo Media. “The main objective being to develop business within South Africa and to apply the expertise to our business landscape.“

The two international speakers, Vanzant and Buckingham, have each sold thousands of books in South Africa and garnered a large and diverse following among professionals looking to refine their leadership skills and personal development.

The South African speakers Ikalefeng, Mahanyele and Naidoo have notched up a number of accolades and an impressive track record in the respective fields, thereby displaying their understanding of the country’s business and entrepreneurial landscape.

At the DESTINY Forum, these speakers will share:
• their business strategies;
• tips on how to deal with work challenges; and
• inspiration on how to achieve work objectives and goals.

“South Africa needs more professionals and entrepreneurs who are willing to take control of their destinies, launch new ventures or enhance their careers and take full responsibility for the outcome. We hope to play an integral role in inspiring that momentum,” says Dhlomo.

In association with Metro FM, M-Net and City Press, the DESTINY Forum will be held on 23 July 2012 at the Sandton Convention Centre.

Tickets cost R1 700 (including VAT) per person for the full-day conference, which includes lunch and networking opportunities at the post-event cocktail party. Subscribers of DESTINY Magazine and DESTINY Man qualify for a 30% discount.
