RamsayMedia geared up to go green for Green Office Week

Published: 16 April 2012

“It’s not easy being green,” Kermit the frog famously said, but it’s not a view RamsayMedia subscribes to. The company has taken up the challenge of Green Office Week which runs from Monday, 16 April to Friday, 20 April with a fun programme for staff, and has also invited business associates to come along for the ride.

RamsayMedia’s creatives put their heads together to devise a strategy to make greening top of mind. Among their ideas are colourful decals on light switches and printers that will be reminders to conserve energy, painted plugs that will create awareness about wasting water and a cute cartoon character, stuck on recycling bins, which will alert staff to sorting waste correctly.

Eco-focused tips and facts will arrive in staff inboxes each day of the week, with the same messages billboarded around the company.

“Greening has been part of our corporate culture for some time now, both in the office and through the causes we support,” commented RamsayMedia’s head of CSI, Sandy Immelman. “When we heard about Green Office Week we saw the obvious fit with our own ethos.”

Seeing the opportunity to broaden the effectiveness of the campaign, RamsayMedia also invites clients, advertising agencies and the causes it supports under its corporate social responsibility umbrella to join the initiative by signing up for the daily notifications.
