Mondi, ADT and Joburg Tourism pitch in for Clean Up Day

Mondi Recycling; ADT security services; and Joburg Tourism are some of the corporates and municipal entities that will be pitching in on Clean Up Day on 5 June. Mondi is an official sponsor of the Clean City campaign while ADT will be lending its security expertise to the event which will see celebrities and high profile personalities participating.

Among these participants will be SABC1 icons from Generations, On the move and Jika Majika; SABC2 actors and presenters from 50/50 and 7de laan; YFM presenters; e.tv actors from Rhythm City, Scandal!, Craze and Sunrise.

“We’ve often emphasised that a clean city can only be achieved through a partnership between the municipality and the community it serves,” says Nkosi. “These strategic partnerships are testament to that philosophy as they have enabled greater awareness of Clean Up Day and mobilized massive action towards its success.”

Let’s celebrate the respect and loyalty we have for our Joburg, the City that we love,” said Lindiwe Kwele, CEO of the Johannesburg Tourism Company.

Other partners include The Citizen; Caxton community newspapers; Jozi FM; Sowetan; Talk Radio 702; Highveld Stereo; the Golden Lions; Universal Press; and Channel Africa, while Sophie Ndaba; Nothemba Madumo; Penny Lebyane; and Marks Maponyane are also playing a vital role as ambassadors of the campaign.
